Abstract

This research aims at analyzing the impact of Productive zakat distribution on one's spiritual and material aspects. The impact is measured using the CIBEST technique which will produce spiritual value (SV) and material value (MV). This research aims at analyzing and cognizing its effectiveness perceived by mustahiq. The process is conducted by classifying it based on the quadrants in the CIBEST calculation technique, before or after giving productive zakat in the form of business capital assistance as one of  Surabaya Infaq Management Institute (LMI). The research uses descriptive quantitative research method with 24 households as respondents. The results show that the provision of productive zakat in the form of business capital assistance has positive and effective impact on the economic and spiritual aspects of mustahiq with an increase from quadrant II to quadrant I.

Abstract

This study aims at analyzing and exploring Muhammad Baqir Al-Shadr's thoughts on the fair economic system. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with document review. The results of this study conclude that the economic problem does not lie in the production or scarcity of resources, but rather due to the problem of unequal and unfair distribution as a result of the economic system allowing the exploitation of the strong against the weak. In addition, Baqir Al-Shadr argues that the Islamic economic system must be more comprehensive, in-depth and rooted in Islamic justice values.

Abstract

In this current era, the world is experiencing tremendous progress in technology and innovation. The presence of Go-Food fiture in Go-Jek application as a beneficial digital platform is welcomed enthusiastically by the community. Moreover, there are some arguments related to the prohibition of hybrid-contracts which are used in Go-Food transaction. For this reason, this study aims at determining the contract scheme for Go-Food services at the Go-Jek Pasuruan branch and how the argumentations of several contemporary fiqh scholars regarding the hybrid-contract laws are. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative method with a field research and library research approach. As a result, researchers found that the Go-Food transaction scheme in Pasuruan regency  used hybrid contracts namely wakalah bil ujrah – qardh. In addition, there are different opinions among fiqh scholars according to this issue. The different opinion (khilafiyah) between the scholars is a necessity and common thing in responding fiqh cases based on Al Quran and Hadits, including Go-Food transactions. In this case, the author chooses to be in line with the argumentation that allows the use of Go-Food services based on the arguments presented by the ulama and fatwas that have been issued by the MUI.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research by using multiple linier regression analysis and interaction analysis (MRA). The method of data collection uses a questionnaire. The goal of this research is to analyze the effect of barokah savings pick-up service and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty of BPRS Bhakti Sumekar Pragaan Branch Office. It also analyzes the relation of barokah savings pick-up service on customer loyalty of BPRS Bhakti Sumekar Pragaan Branch Office moderated by customer satisfaction. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that the p-value of the pick-up service variable is 0.111 > 0.05, and customer satisfaction is 0.001<0.05, Based on the results of the MRA test, the p-value of interaction variable between the pick-up service and customer satisfaction is 0.009 < 0.05. These results mean that the barokah savings pick-up service has no significant effect on customer loyalty at BPRS Bhakti Sumekar, customer satisfaction has a significant influence on customer loyalty BPRS Bhakti Sumekar Pragaan Branch Office. Customer’s satisfaction, however, can moderate the interaction between the savings pick-up service and customer loyalty. Thus, for increasing customer loyalty on the firm, the employees have to pay attention to the service provided and try to provide it according to what is communicated to the costumers.

Abstract

The books of contemporary Islamic economic thought history circulating in Indonesia are dominated by Islamic economic thinkers or Islamic economists who come from abroad. Indonesian Islamic economists are hardly included in the literature. Indeed, there are quiet a few Islamic economic figures from Indonesia who are included. Researchers usually study Islamic economic thinking from a figure who is already commonly known as an Islamic economist. This means that the figure has researched and written a number of works specifically discussing Islamic economics. This paper aims at elaborating Nurcholish Madjid’s Islamic economic thought. This study applies qualitative that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observable behavior which aims to explain and test the truth of an economic knowledge based on Islamic values. Sources of data used in this study are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The analytical method used in this research is hermeneutics. The results of the study show that there are several ideas of Nurcholish Madjid’s Islamic economics: economic justice, religious socialism, riba economics, business ethos, and business spirituality.

Abstract

The article aims to understand the basis of Imam al-Ghazali’s economic thought. There are two streams studied, namely rationalism and sufism which are thought to influence Imam al-Ghazali’s economic thought. In this article, it is concluded that the philosophy of economic thought of Imam al-Ghazali knows no dichotomy between the world perspective and the hereafter ones. The point of view that was used did not stop at the worldview, but succeeded in containing Islamic values, which were oriented to the afterlife. In other words, Imam al-Ghazali’s economic thought is not only based on the aspect ratio, but is also controlled by ethics and moralilty. The ukhrawi's point of view that emphasized by Imam al-Ghazali serves as a lighter in economic activities based on ethics and morality. Because the nature of the economy is only one way to achieve a better life later in life. Imam al-Ghazali’s concept of the purpose of human life that focuses on the happiness of the hereafter, does not mean he rejects the happiness of the world. But according to him, the happiness of the world is majazi, while the happiness of the afterlife is intrinsic. In other words, Imam al-Ghazali succeeded in placing Islamic thought outside of Greek rationalist thought, but on the other hand, it also succeeded in melting mysticism in the sufi world.

Abstract

Productive waqf is permanent property that is used in production activities. The results are distributed according to the purpose of the waqf. Waqf has dual functions, namely the function of worship and social function. This research is entitled Management of Productive Waqf Fund Distribution at BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Gresik. This qualitative research uses a descriptive analytical approach, with a research focus (1) How is the distribution management of productive waqf funds in BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Gresik? (2) How is the realization of the distribution of productive waqf funds at BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Gresik? The results figure out some points. The first is the distribution management of productive waqf funds carried out by BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Gresik, namely the distribution of cash waqf funds. It is channeled directly to the community around the BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Gresik environment by having data on the people who are entitled to it. In addition, it is channeled to the construction of mosques or prayer rooms and educational institutions by submitting proposals. The second is the realization of the distribution of productive waqf funds at BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Gresik through several programs that have all been planned to be implemented. In fact, funds resulting from the management of cash waqf are not fully distributed and there is no SOP for the management of cash waqf at BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Gresik.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the products offered by BPRS Madinah Lamongan, namely employee financing products with murabahah which recently has quite high demand from customers. Employee financing is provided to internal employees and general employees of BPRS Madinah Lamongan for consumptive purposes. This research is field research. Data sources consist of primary and secondary data using data collection methods of observation, interviews and documentation. After the data is collected, the writer analyzes the data using qualitative descriptive methods with descriptive, inductive and deductive methods. The findings reveal that the employee financing system with murabahah in BPRS Madinah Lamongan principally is in line with Islamic economics. Its impact and influence are very positive. Likewise with the implementation, elements of irregularities according to the Islamic economic system have yet to be discovered.
